A Lesson in Layering | All Black Everything
This time of year, the weather can be unpredictable. You never know when you’re going to have to strip down due to a hot flash or button up & brace yourself impending winter. In this time of uncertainty, we can combat the bizarre weather patterns w/ expertly layered looks.
Step 1:
A simple top & bottom will allow for the addition of more layers. It’s important to choose something that doesn’t add too much bulk. Thus, we went w/ a black turtleneck & jeans.
Step 2:
Add a sleeveless pullover! If you want to get more use out of your summer tops, think about using one to layer over your long-sleeved shirts. This could be as dimensional & detailed as you like. Our choice has an a-line cut & sheer back detail.
Step 3:
Layer on a jacket for function & dimension. Here, we chose a lightweight collarless blazer, but if you want it to be the star of the show, don’t be afraid to make this your statement piece.
Step 4:
Add a vest or scarf. We picked a fur vest as the final layer. This piece makes the look feel edgier & adds some texture where it’s lacking in the rest of the outfit.
In the end, we can top it off w/ accessories, which can be interchangeably worn w/
each layer!
